Uniform Fetish

toys.jpg

I think it is safe to say that I am over my uniform fetish since I was booked this morning for being a naughty girl :(

It is the first time I have been booked in the entire 20 years I have been driving, which is still no excuse for what I have done.

Just remember to keep to the speed limits, the police are great at playing hide and seek with the radar (and I don’t mean that in a fun, dress up kind of way lol…)

Savannah

Almost premature…

It’s 10:24pm Wednesday and I just got back from the hospital.  My baby sister (who isn’t a baby) was taken there as they thought she was in premature labor.  The baby is active and while they sent her back home, they haven’t completely ruled it out but she needs to keep an eye on it.   She has between 4-6 weeks to go depending on which due date you go by.  I’m so excited :)

I will keep you posted with any new developments that happen.

Hugs!

Savannah :)

Machinations – Do To You

This is from 1987.  I will get to present day but I just love watching these as I haven’t seen them for a long time.  They have a great beat and if you can d/load them onto your ipod they are great for walking and stuff if you are feeling energetic…really boppy and make you want dance :)

Machinations – No Say In It

This one is from 1984.

Machinations – Pressure Sway

Another aussie band about 1983.

Uncanny X-Men 50 Years

A mellow effort from the boys, us girls loved it lol and looking at it now I wonder why…lol still it was a great time. I would like to point out that one of these guys, the guitarist who is usually in a suit and plays a guitar solo towards the end of this clip was in a centerfold in either Cleo or Cosmopolitan. I think every 15 year old bought that issue out in record time :)

Uncanny X-Men – Party

This one was called Party and was released around  1985.

Uncanny X-Men

This is by the Uncanny X-Men and is from 1984.  Old yes but I was 14 at this time and I’m loving youtube for allowing me to relive my adolescent years :)   The song is called Everybody Wants to Work.

Boom Crash Opera

This week my favourite song is Dancing in the Storm by an Aussie band from around 1989 called Boom Crash Opera. I love this band :) It is not the original music clip but it is still great.

Anzac Biscuits

ANZAC BISCUITS

I have had several requests for my Anzac biscuit recipe so here it is. It is a family recipe that has been handed down so I don’t really know who originally owned it.

All I can say is that when I make them, they are lucky to last 2 days, my children love them, so does my brother, parents, aunts…..

So without further ado, here is the recipe :)

Ingredients

125g butter
1 tablespoon golden syrup
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
2 tablespoons boiling water
1 cup of rolled oats
1 cup desiccated coconut
1 cup plain flour
1 cup of sugar

Method

Melt butter and golden syrup in a large saucepan over a low heat.

Mix the bicarbonate of soda with the boiling water.

Add to the melted butter.

Combine dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.

Pour melted butter mixture into the centre.

Mix to a moist but firm consistency.

Drop teaspoonfuls of the mixture on to cold greased baking trays.

Bake in a slow oven, 150 degrees Celsius, for 20 minutes or until brown.

Cool a few minutes on the baking trays before removing to a wire cooling tray.

Enjoy!

Oh if you have a fan-forced oven keep an eye on them as mine cooked in 5 minutes. If you use more butter the biscuits will end up not as crispy. Let me know how they go :)

Sorry the measurements are in metric and the ingredients are Australian but I didn’t have time to convert them.
