Oh the pain…lol

Guess who went back to the gym yesterday? Yes it was me! What was I thinking lol Actually I’m not in pain (maybe that’s happening tomorrow) but I can really feel where I worked out as it has been awhile. I had a new fitness assessment and was given a new tailor made program by new trainer. I have to say I slept really well last night and didn’t make it past 11pm which is unusual for me as I am so used to studying I just can’t sleep before 1am no matter how tired I am.

My niece is so adorable and has an attitude already lol she loves to fight off the baby blanket that they wrap them in like a cocoon. I am absolutely mesmerised by her just as I was with my own children.

Nothing else is really new, I did the lawns yesterday and started cleaning the pool. Yes I know it’s winter but after the winds we’ve had it needs a clean. But halfway through the suction thingy for the floor tool stopped working so I have to wait for someone to look at it. I’m afraid I’m technically challenged in a lot of things.

I’m a little ticked off at the news today going on about the affordability of housing in Sydney. It’s a struggle and cannot happen without both parents working, even then families have to go without due to the high mortgage repayments. I mean 30 year old homes are going for $300,000 an hour from Sydney? it’s incredulous to say the least. If you add on top of that the soaring price of fuel and groceries, many families cannot afford to go on holidays locally because petrol costs too much. I know many people that think twice before taking their family anywhere and that is a very sorry way to live.

The other issue that makes me shake my head in disbelief is where the Treasurer thinks the housing prices are due to lack of land being released for new housing and the Federal government has decided to hold an enquiry into where land could be released but isn’t. This is all fine in theory but have they forgotten that Sydney is running out of water? New homes mean more water usage, surely someone in the government realises that more houses will put a huge drain on the water resources we do have left.

On my last water bill it shows I used more water when I know I used less. This last quarter I did not water my garden, I did not top up the pool yet it said I used more and they also put the $ rate per kilolitre of water used up and do so with every quarterly bill which is also exactly the same with electricity. I know this is similar in other states but I know eventually I will moving away from Sydney, it’s just getting too expensive to live here. Everyone’s income is spent on just the basics and trying to live, there is no money left over for anything else, which may explain why Australian’s aren’t big on savings accounts at the moment, they have nothing to put in them.

Ok that is my rant for today. Will write later on after I go and visit my niece :)

Cheers!
